About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Research and implement novel computer vision and algorithmic solutions for perception, learning, optimization, and graph-based reasoning
  • Design experiments, evaluate results, and drive iterations to meet production reliability targets
  • Take ownership of algorithm quality end-to-end from research through production
  • Collaborate with algorithm, data engineering, and product teams
  • Monitor production model health and identify degradation early
  • Lead remediation efforts for model degradation
  • Integrate AI tools into the engineering workflow
  • Design solutions and direct AI agents to implement them
  • Contribute to technical culture through code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and rigorous algorithmic thinking

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant B.Sc./M.Sc. with 7+ years of industry experience as a Computer Vision or Algorithm Engineer, OR relevant Ph.D. with 4+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Broad and deep computer vision background with strong algorithmic foundations
  • Deep proficiency in deep learning frameworks, with PyTorch preferred
  • Proficiency in Python and ability to write clean, production-grade code
  • Proven end-to-end ownership taking computer vision problems from research to production
  • Strong problem-solving skills for ambiguous, non-textbook problems
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with accountability for outcomes
  • Good communication skills for explaining complex algorithmic decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience experimenting with AI tools, code assistants, LLMs, or AI-augmented workflows
  • Curiosity and motivation to develop an AI-first workflow
  • Preferred, not required: experience with GIS datasets or geospatial computer vision
  • Preferred, not required: familiarity with GNN / graph-based algorithms
  • Preferred, not required: experience with AWS cloud services, including SageMaker, S3, and EC2
  • Preferred, not required: background in active learning or AI-assisted annotation pipelines
