About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the configuration, support, customization, and integrations of the Salesforce instance
- Serve as escalation point for complex Salesforce issues
- Lead the Salesforce roadmap from discovery to launch with business and technical stakeholders
- Design and improve business processes supported by Salesforce
- Set standards for scalable org architecture, data models, page layouts, validation rules, and automation
- Build with Flow and declarative tools and partner with developers or contribute to Apex and Lightning Web Components when appropriate
- Own security design across profiles, roles, permission sets, and sharing settings
- Lead access reviews
- Coach and mentor junior administrators
- Lead complex cross-functional projects from scoping through delivery
- Provide user support and monitor data quality and system health
- Define and improve change management, QA, UAT, production deployment, and sandbox practices
- Set testing standards and ensure functional, regression, and UAT testing
- Identify and adopt practical AI capabilities
- Maintain documentation, build training, and monitor Salesforce releases
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator
- Salesforce Administrator certification preferred
- Advanced certifications (Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Consultant) a plus
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and process mapping
- Demonstrated experience mentoring junior team members and leading projects or initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- Strong ability to diagnose issues to the root cause, prioritize competing requests, and deliver lasting fixes
- Expert command of Flow and declarative tools
- Working knowledge of Apex and Lightning Web Components
- Deep understanding of Salesforce data and security models
- Experience with API-based integrations
- Release management experience, including sandbox strategy, Salesforce DX or change sets, and Git-based workflows
- Curiosity about AI and experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation
