Key responsibilities & impact

Perform month-end close functions for multiple entities
Prepare journal entries
Analyze and book accruals for pending invoices, open purchase orders, contracts, and credit card transactions
Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and provide supporting documentation and detailed analysis
Review assigned cost center income statement variances month over month and year over year
Perform actual-to-budget/forecast income statement reviews for assigned cost centers
Cross-train with the accounting team on prepaids, fixed assets, and other assigned functional areas
Record cash transaction activity and reconcile all bank accounts
Support financial and tax audits by providing assigned PBC schedules and documentation
Ensure procedures comply with GAAP requirements and accounting department policies
Perform ad hoc analysis as requested
Report to the GL Accounting Manager

What you’ll need

2-4 years accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, listening and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments
Experience with ERP systems; Workday experience a plus
Demonstrated understanding of financial/accounting principles and systems
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
