About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete all functions relating to shipments and receipts of finished goods
  • Perform transactions necessary to ship products and verify shipment accuracy
  • Maintain SAP, transportation, carrier, and customer communications
  • Generate accurate DOT bills of lading and distribute compliant copies
  • Maintain DOT- and AOS-compliant order, serial number, inventory, packing, inspection, and pick-sheet records
  • Coordinate inventory transfers with yard drivers and auxiliary warehouse personnel
  • Monitor trailer flow and communicate with truck yard and warehouse personnel
  • Assign orders and trailers to docks throughout each shift
  • Coordinate with lift-truck operators and resolve discrepancies with load teams
  • Produce product transfer, trailer, live-load, and export reports and documentation
  • Manage CTPAT-related visitor entry, trailer seals, and quarterly driver CDL inspections
  • Communicate daily with LTL carriers regarding shipments
  • Perform special projects and other assigned duties
  • Serve as backup to the shift supervisor as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree and two years of distribution or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting numerous deadlines
  • Capable of working in a high-paced, open environment while prioritizing workload based on company goals and direction
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • SAP knowledge and experience
  • Prior distribution or warehouse experience
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to cover OT and weekend needs as they arise
  • Must understand and adhere to all CTPAT compliance requirements
  • Must be fully trained and capable of serving as a back-up to the shift supervisor as needed
