About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, direct, and monitor the activities of a sales team within a specified region to achieve established sales targets
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of a regional sales force to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for an assigned region
  • Monitor sales team or branch performance and re-allocate resources to improve overall results
  • Contribute to regional sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies
  • Oversee sales support activities including sales administration, customer service, distribution, invoicing, and credit and collections
  • Ensure customer orders are processed, dispatched, invoiced, and paid accurately and on time
  • Coach sales representatives on product and service technical aspects, marketing campaigns, sales promotions, techniques, procedures, and standards
  • Serve as liaison between District Sales Representatives, Manufacturer's Representatives, and the company
  • Report directly to the Northern/Southern Sales Manager and indirectly to the Vice President of Sales
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years related work experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Experience in sales or new business development with a focus on engineering services, robotics, automation, manufacturing, and operations
  • Experience implementing professional service business models in hi-tech industries
  • Strong skills in business development, account management, and the sales process
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products
  • Experience in Salesforce CRM is a plus
