About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the deployment and maturity of The Maersk Way across the Area
  • Facilitate and coach teams on Lean, Kaizen, A3 problem solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices
  • Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on Operational Excellence and business transformation
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and teams across Operations, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Finance, Product, Technology, Operational Excellence, Digital, Automation, and Data
  • Lead cross-functional projects improving efficiency, quality, customer experience, and business performance
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and guide teams from problem definition through implementation
  • Drive end-to-end process and operating model improvements
  • Support initiative governance, execution, and realization of business benefits
  • Coach leaders, project teams, and Operational Excellence practitioners on improvement methodologies and change management
  • Facilitate workshops, diagnostics, value stream mapping sessions, and problem-solving events
  • Develop continuous improvement capabilities and promote best practices
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and data-driven decision making
  • Partner with Digital, Automation, and Analytics teams to design and implement business solutions
  • Ensure new solutions are adopted and embedded into day-to-day operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 7–10+ years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean Management, or Business Transformation
  • Experience within logistics, supply chain, transportation, manufacturing, or other operational environments is a strong advantage
  • Proven background leading cross-functional improvement and transformation initiatives with measurable business impact
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement tools, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, A3 Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Standard Work, and Daily Management Systems
  • Experienced in digital, automation, or analytics-enabled transformation initiatives
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
