About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the localization, maturity, consistency, and impact of The Maersk Way Operating System and NDC TMW training program across the Nordics
  • Design and implement the TMW localization strategy across the Nordics Area
  • Design, implement, and sustain performance management systems, including cadences, SQC boards, and KPI routines
  • Ensure standardization of operational processes and performance governance routines
  • Provide advanced guidance on structured problem solving, including A3, Kaizen, Lean, and RCA
  • Drive structured problem-solving exercises addressing customer/business challenges and performance gaps
  • Facilitate Kaizen, A3 problem-solving, VSM, and process-mapping workshops
  • Lead cross-functional business and customer improvement initiatives
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact improvement opportunities
  • Run business-critical projects defined by the Area Leadership Team
  • Design, manage, and maintain The Maersk Way training program in the Nordics
  • Coach frontline teams on TMW tools, including Problem Solving, Bowler Charts, and Action Plans
  • Localize, deliver, and manage the A3/Problem Solving training program
  • Support embedding a continuous improvement culture in daily operations
  • Coach and facilitate the business and OPEX Specialist
  • Develop the NDC OPEX upskilling program
  • Define and implement Area and Product KPI frameworks
  • Establish data-driven governance routines and track measurable business improvements
  • Act as a trusted advisor on performance gaps and corrective actions
  • Translate operational constraints and problems into data-driven improvement initiatives
  • Apply end-to-end business thinking and prioritize high-impact initiatives
  • Partner with Digital, Data, and Automation teams
  • Drive continuous improvement loops based on data insights
  • Serve as deputy when the Area Head of OPEX is absent

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field
  • 7-10+ years functional experience in logistics and services
  • Demonstrated practical experience in Operational Excellence, Lean, or Continuous Improvement
  • Experience with Kaizen, PDCA/DMAIC, RCA, GEMBAs, A3, VSM, Daily Management, and/or similar frameworks and tools
  • Track record of delivering tangible operational improvements in complex/ambiguous logistics environments
  • Proven experience applying structured project management methodologies such as PMI or PRINCE2, including change management and change behaviour during implementation
  • Ability to link data insights and contextual information with real-life operational behaviour
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to challenge constructively and drive accountability
  • Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal guidance
  • Ability to influence, drive, and embed change across multiple organizational levels
  • Effective communication skills
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and execution-focused mindset
  • Experience with process mapping, policy definition, and automation initiatives is advantageous
  • Certification in CI and/or OPEX frameworks, such as Green/Black Belt, is advantageous
  • AI/Agentic Bot development is advantageous
