About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell and provide ongoing service for ACG-branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products
  • Uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, grow ACG’s insurance portfolio, overcome objections, negotiate, close sales, and meet or exceed sales targets
  • Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk and identify coverage gaps
  • Recommend appropriate insurance solutions and quote, bind, and issue policies according to underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain rapport with members and clients
  • Respond to inquiries professionally and urgently while supporting customer satisfaction, loyalty, and trust in the AAA brand
  • Engage in local branch and community events to prospect and expand referral networks
  • Develop new business opportunities and identify cross-sell and referral opportunities into Travel and Financial Services
  • Work in a temperature-controlled AAA branch location
  • Work Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with possible rotating Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active State Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
  • Active State Life and Health Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
  • Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable within the timeframe established by the Business Unit
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer automated business environment
  • Ability to work varied hours, including possible weekends
  • Some travel to local events may be required
  • Ability to develop, manage, and close sales opportunities
  • Lead tracking, follow-up, pipeline management, and accountability for performance goals
  • Consultative selling, customer discovery, product knowledge, and needs assessment
  • Ability to generate opportunities through referrals, outbound activity, networking, and business development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Consent to a background and drug screen if offered employment
