About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the quality and release strategy roadmap across multiple applications
  • Oversee release management processes
  • Lead and provide technical guidance to contract QA testing analysts across test analysis, design, execution, defect reporting, and resolution
  • Own testing strategy throughout the SDLC
  • Partner with program and project managers to align testing with requirements, success criteria, schedules, resources, and delivery goals
  • Manage planning and execution of product and system testing, including test approach, scope impacts, methodologies, tools, and automation strategies
  • Ensure testing validates functional and non-functional requirements and complies with QA standards, policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Oversee end-to-end testing delivery, monitor progress, manage defects, report status to leadership, and drive resolution of cross-functional testing issues
  • Maintain test records and review documentation
  • Recommend improvements and participate in phase-end reviews
  • Proactively address risks and release issues to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
  • Manage the relationship with the contracted QA service provider
  • Govern day-to-day QA delivery for assigned tracks, including test plans, estimates, execution schedules, and sprint/release milestone completion
  • Lead and mentor QA consultants through work allocation, capacity planning, onboarding, and accountability to SLAs and quality standards
  • Apply QA standards, test plans, entry/exit criteria, and quality gates; raise exceptions to the Senior Manager
  • Expand automation coverage and maintain reliable automated suites within existing CI/CD pipelines
  • Govern AI-assisted testing, including test case generation, self-healing automation, defect triage support, and test data creation; measure AI output accuracy
  • Manage release readiness, dependencies, risks, and QA recommendations for go/no-go decisions
  • Review quality metrics including defect trends, coverage, escape rate, automation pass rate, and release health
  • Support QA partner transition activities including knowledge transfer, shadow and reverse-shadow execution, evidence capture, and exit-criteria sign-off

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing
  • Experience developing and documenting business requirements
  • Experience reviewing business requirements and technical design documents
  • Experience identifying test conditions based on business requirements and technical design
  • Experience developing test cases based on test conditions, business requirements, and technical design
  • Experience proactively identifying, researching, and resolving problems
  • Experience developing reusable documentation
  • Experience testing, working with, or evaluating third-party vendor packages
  • Experience working in strong, positive team environments
  • Experience analyzing test results for validity and correctness
  • Advanced knowledge of supported business functions, workflows, systems, and transactions
  • Excellent understanding of system design processes, methodologies, and testing tools
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to communicate with senior leadership
  • Knowledge of operating systems including MVS, AIX/UNIX/LINUX, Windows, iOS, Android, and Mac
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure/architectural concepts, database design concepts, and server languages
  • Knowledge of Waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of test approaches including Baseline, Parallel, Black Box, White Box, and Gray Box
  • Agile Certification, PMI Certifications, other related technology certifications, ISTQB, CSM, or equivalent certification listed as preferred/desired qualifications
  • Domain exposure to Insurance, Claims, and Salesforce platforms
  • Hands-on experience building Agentic AI solutions and leading related delivery models
  • API or performance testing familiarity
