About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns across engine performance, transmissions, electrical and electronic systems, steering and suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning, drivability, and other mechanical systems
Complete repairs according to manufacturer procedures and recognized industry standards
Troubleshoot complex vehicle concerns using technical expertise
Mentor and support developing technicians and service associates
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Continue developing technical knowledge through training and certification opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned
Work across multiple AAA Car Care Plus shops throughout the Columbus, Ohio market, with recruiting support to identify the best location

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of professional automotive repair experience, including advanced diagnostic work
Strong knowledge across multiple major vehicle systems
ASE Master Technician certification, dealership certifications, or comparable advanced experience preferred
Ability to obtain applicable ASE certifications within 12 months when required
ASE L1 – Advanced Engine Performance Specialist certification preferred
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
Interest in mentoring and supporting other technicians
Valid driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and remain standing for extended periods
Authorization to work in the United States
Successful completion of applicable pre-employment requirements, which may include a background check, drug screening, and fitness-for-duty assessment
