About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and orchestrate AI architecture across the AI Factory portfolio, setting technical direction, priorities and sequencing of architecture work
Provide technical and design authority by reviewing and approving AI solution architectures within the governance framework
Ensure appropriate architecture competence and capacity for portfolio needs
Drive common architecture, standards and reuse through reference architectures, reusable patterns and technical guardrails
Lead the AI architecture community across delivery organizations
Assess emerging technologies and keep the technology roadmap relevant while avoiding technical debt and early obsolescence
Align technically with Functions, IS, Data organizations, delivery teams and external technology partners
Evaluate delivery approaches and vendors
Govern key architecture decisions while balancing innovation, speed, security, sustainability and maintainability
Escalate significant cross-domain decisions through AI Factory governance when required
Coordinate architects and technical experts across multiple delivery teams and organizations
Lead primarily through technical authority, functional leadership and influence rather than direct line management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
At least 8 years of experience in architecture, engineering, solution design or technology leadership
Strong technical background with credibility to lead senior architects and technical specialists
Experience leading architecture or technical work across multiple teams and complex initiatives
Experience delivering AI, analytics, machine learning or digital platforms in complex enterprise environments
Strong knowledge of the AI technology ecosystem and emerging trends
Ability to translate business priorities into technical direction and balance speed, quality, reuse and sustainability
Strong stakeholder leadership and communication skills
Experience in industrial digitalization or engineering-led environments (preferred background)
Experience in technical authority, lead engineering, architecture leadership or comparable functional leadership roles (preferred background)
Experience in consulting, scale-up or high-growth technology environments (preferred background)
Experience leading technical communities and working across internal and external delivery organizations (preferred background)
