About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with sales teams on continuous improvement and support for welding and cutting-related products
- Develop proof-of-concepts
- Perform cycle time evaluations and reach studies
- Configure robotic solutions for welding and cutting applications
- Review customer requirements with sales and propose and design robotic solutions
- Showcase proofs of concept, demonstrations, and presentations to customers
- Ensure solutions comply with customer specifications and code requirements
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and potentially third parties to address issues
- Handle changes in proposals or other documentation and align on requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s in engineering or engineering technology with 10+ years in Robotic Welding, or Associate Degree and 12+ years
- Experience with offline programming such as RobotStudio or similar
- Comfortable presenting and interacting with all levels of customers and peer teams
- Ability to read welding drawings
- Understanding of welding industry codes
- Knowledge of welding processes such as laser and plasma is desirable
- Automation engineering knowledge is desirable
- Previous welding experience is mandatory, ideally robotic
