About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a territory and lead a team of C&I-focused sales people
- Meet volume growth, price/quality/margin, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives
- Provide disciplined local execution of regional C&I strategy and programs
- Meet local coverage targets across ABB business units and customer needs
- Implement measures to achieve sales to C&I customers, systems, and services in the assigned geography
- Ensure individual business-unit sales targets are met or exceeded
- Maximize net margin and profits within the geography
- Participate in C&I planning and align strategies with district and regional objectives
- Lead performance management and annual reviews for C&I sales personnel
- Develop and execute employee development plans, including technical and professional training
- Coach sales teams to improve decision-making, planning, and resource allocation
- Manage scorecards and track business-unit/C&I segment growth
- Review monthly and quarterly results and monitor conversions, pipeline progression, and product mix
- Own key account relationships and serve as escalation point for commercial decisions
- Implement regional strategy and collaborate with sales and channel leadership to achieve geography goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Business
- Minimum 10 years related experience
- Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Senior Account Management experience
- Understanding and experience with the full portfolio of products and services, including power distribution one-line and installation products
- Ability to travel 25%-50% throughout territory as needed
- Candidate must already have work authorization permitting them to work for ABB in the United States
