About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity
Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner
Apply basic design thinking and design best-practice concepts in projects
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and application engineers
Resolve product, software, and application-related issues through remote support channels
Identify and diagnose automation system challenges and deliver timely solutions
Build and maintain positive customer relationships
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
Plan and execute technical support activities, including issue escalation and problem resolution
Collaborate with global teams to implement innovative solutions and best practices
Develop automation product and real-time software application skills
Deliver technical training and application engineering support
Perform software development, commissioning, documentation, and reporting of technical activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related discipline)
1–5 years of experience in application development, commissioning, and technical support within industrial automation environments
Experience in multinational organizations
Solid knowledge of Industrial Automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, Servo Drives, Motion Control, Motors, Robotics, and integrated machine automation solutions
Practical experience in application engineering, problem solving, customer support, commissioning, and deployment of automation solutions
Good understanding of control theory, structured programming, and software development practices
Proficiency in C/ST programming preferred
Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and applied mathematics
Experience supporting industries such as Food & Beverage (F&B), CPG, and Consumer Goods
Excellent communication, customer engagement, and training skills
Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and customer-focused environments
