About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide financial and accounting control and expertise to the US ELIP region
- Benchmark KPIs and work with finance professionals to understand financial performance drivers and identify trends
- Study business performance, including financial modeling to forecast impacts and risks and recommend continuous improvement areas
- Develop and manage business controls, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks across the US distribution center network
- Analyze financial data and KPIs to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and business case analyses for senior management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic planning and business decisions
- Drive process optimization and implement best practices in financial operations
- Communicate complex financial information to technical and non-technical ELIP stakeholders
- Lead and mentor a finance team
- Support organizational financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Validate financial data and business information through reconciliation and exception review
- Recommend process standard and procedure changes and identify process/report standardization opportunities
- Monitor controls across the distribution center network and design and implement new control measures as required
- Maintain audit processes and documentation
- Prepare and regularly update standard operating procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 12+ years of progressive experience in financial controlling, accounting, or business finance
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing finance teams
- Expertise in financial analysis, reporting, cashflow, inventories, reconciliations, internal controls, and business intelligence
- Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and financial systems such as SAP or similar ERP systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work with geographically distributed teams
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with financial controls, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- General accounting knowledge in financial statements
- Change management experience
- Motivation to work in a dynamic environment focused on process improvement and simplification
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Critical thinking, effective problem solving, financial analysis, and root cause analysis capability
- Must already have work authorization permitting employment with ABB in the United States
