About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the service sales process in collaboration with the Service Sales Manager and/or Service Manager
  • Generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within designated areas
  • Focus on Installed Base penetration and sell the entire Service product portfolio with other ABB service units
  • Build long-term customer relationships and respond to customer needs and issues
  • Promote upgrade, retrofit, and value-add solutions
  • Understand channel strategy, establish related prices, prepare sales plans, and propose recovery plans
  • Use the Installed Base database to identify and develop service product and solution opportunities
  • Maintain service database updates for site changes
  • Generate service sales leads and develop new market opportunities using market trends
  • Represent ABB service products and solutions at campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings
  • Translate customer needs into relevant ABB Service offerings and solutions
  • Demonstrate technical service product and solution knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management
  • Document customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Plan and perform weekly sales visits and report them in CRM
  • Report leads and opportunities, manage and update the CRM pipeline
  • Update and monitor sales proposals and tenders and follow up on proposal statistics
  • Communicate contract details and manage administrative sales processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • 8+ years of experience in automation systems
  • DCS systems experience highly preferred
  • Comfortable in front of customers and vendors
  • Ability to lead technical training, lunch and learns, and demonstrations
  • MS Office skills are a must
  • Salesforce is preferred
