About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement, and manage strategies and relationships with assigned large contractor accounts
  • Grow share of wallet, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate executive relationships within key accounts
  • Set goals and track pipeline
  • Organize sales activities and monitor current projects
  • Manage resolution of key customer challenges
  • Lead development and implementation of account plans and Statement of Work growth actions
  • Understand customer business drivers, risks, impacts, and opportunities for ABB
  • Participate in developing account sales strategies using current business and long-term customer plans
  • Define sales targets and provide input on market price developments
  • Monitor competitors’ activity and implement appropriate response strategies
  • Contribute to ABB’s Electrification IBC team in the Western United States

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; marketing related degree or equivalent
  • 12 years of experience within the electrical industry, including experience working with contractors and distributors in the California, Pacific Northwest, Mountain and Chicago areas
  • Strong understanding of Electrification products and experience quoting projects for contractors
  • Experience conducting market analysis and business development plans with a solid structured approach
  • Technical background with experience with low/medium voltage electrical equipment is preferred
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Preferred base location in Nevada, Arizona, Utah or Colorado
  • Must already have work authorization allowing employment with ABB in the United States
