About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop low- and medium-voltage electromechanical projects focused on equipment retrofits and replacements, from technical detailing through final delivery.
- Prepare project documentation, including technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering-hours estimates, using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and SAP.
- Support the preparation of project proposals and presentations by providing the commercial team with technical information, scope, and estimates.
- Participate in project meetings, including kick-off and design freeze meetings, contributing to the resolution of technical issues and fulfillment of contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams to ensure that technical solutions are properly manufactured, tested, and installed.
- Visit suppliers to assess quality and release materials and components, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
- Support technical risk assessments and implement the resulting actions in assigned projects.
- Share best practices and lessons learned across projects and disciplines, contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and methods.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with low- and medium-voltage electromechanical projects, with a focus on equipment retrofits and replacements.
- Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, for materials and bill-of-materials management.
- Experience with project detailing and preparation of bills of materials (BOMs).
- Availability to travel to customer sites throughout Brazil and to suppliers in São Paulo.
- Knowledge of electrical quantities and parameters for sizing components and solutions.
- Intermediate or advanced English proficiency.
- Experience working on projects involving coordination among engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience with quality assessments and technical release approvals at supplier sites.
- Knowledge of standards and regulations applicable to low- and medium-voltage equipment.
