About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute field service work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer requirements, quality standards, and agreed timelines
  • Provide outstanding customer service through clear communication, responsiveness, urgency, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer operations, eliminate pain points, and communicate service growth opportunities to ABB account teams
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues through remote and on-site support for certified products and service offerings
  • Plan and prepare service activities by securing required materials, parts, tools, and equipment for a first-time-right outcome
  • Recommend corrective and preventive actions, improve work processes, and prepare accurate service documentation and customer reports
  • Promote ABB’s safety culture while collaborating with customers and colleagues
  • Report hazards, mentor junior technicians and engineers, provide technical guidance, and deliver training when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing medium-voltage (MV) equipment and other industrial systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial automation, software applications, and control systems
  • Experience with ABB MV/LV Drives, PLCs, and DCS systems is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to support complex industrial equipment in field environments
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites (60-70%)
  • French is a strong asset
