About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support engineering activities across projects of different sizes and complexities under senior engineer supervision
  • Complete tasks cost-effectively and according to contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards
  • Collect data and support production of engineering designs
  • Perform survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks
  • Exercise judgment on limited work details and apply standard methods
  • Prepare project documentation within the scope of deliverables
  • Assist customers with technical issues and interact with official contacts, contractors, and other staff
  • Support communication for specific assignments or meetings
  • Participate in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes
  • Contribute to Functional Safety work for ABB PAEN projects, primarily in Oil & Gas and Chemicals & Pharma industries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Electrical education; secondary grade is minimum
  • Advanced knowledge of English
  • Any other international language is considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of IEC61508, IEC61511, and Machinery Safety is considered an advantage
  • Experience in automation appreciated
  • Willingness to travel abroad
