About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop the application layer of control software for customer traction-converter projects, from software requirements definition through operational release on the final system
  • Create and update software and documentation according to defined standards and homologation needs
  • Test and troubleshoot software in real-time simulators, laboratories, and other environments
  • Support customers during vehicle commissioning and homologation
  • Provide technical support to peers, other disciplines, and customers during project development, laboratory testing, homologation, initial operation, and service
  • Coordinate technical solutions with peers to maximize software reuse, minimize bug risk, and accelerate standardization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University (Higher Education) degree in Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or an equivalent field
  • Knowledge of SW development for closed-loop control, signal processing, algorithms, and real-time programming mechanisms
  • Experience with IEC 61131-3 programming languages (CODESYS), Matlab Simulink, and communication/field bus protocols (CAN, TRDP, J1939, MVB, ...) is considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of SW versioning tools (SVN, Git) is considered an advantage
  • Broad knowledge of converter control, power electronics, or automotive systems
  • Understanding of SW development process standards (such as EN 50657, EN 50128, or ISO 26262) is considered a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, learn quickly, and embrace new challenges
  • Fluency in Polish and English
  • German is considered a plus
  • Willingness to travel between 20% and 30% of the time
  • Availability for night shifts and weekend work during travel periods may be required
