About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day functioning and performance of the plant
- Lead and coordinate manufacturing, logistics, quality, planning, and technology
- Set strategic priorities with plant management and translate them into action plans and measurable results
- Deliver KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, costs, and resource utilization
- Manage the plant relocation to significantly larger premises in Blučina
- Prepare the organization and processes for the new manufacturing model
- Identify productivity improvements, optimize material flows, reduce waste, and improve working capital efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, planning, procurement, and other functions
- Lead and develop the management team and foster accountability, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Maintain a visible presence on the manufacturing shop floor
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrable experience leading teams
- Experience managing managers (5+ years preferred)
- Ability to combine long-term strategic thinking with day-to-day operational management
- Data-driven decision-making and understanding of KPIs, budgets, productivity, costs, and resource utilization
- Experience in manufacturing, planning, quality, logistics, supply chain, or continuous improvement
- Ability to lead people through change, set priorities, and earn team respect
- Visible shop-floor leadership and clear communication with managers and workstation employees
- Czech fluency at a very high level
- Minimum C1 level of English
- University degree, ideally in a technical or economic field; relevant experience can be an adequate substitute
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodology experience is an advantage
- Safety, responsibility, and ethical conduct in leadership
