About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure site commissioning activities are forecasted, planned, coordinated, staffed, and executed
- Oversee warranty execution for high-power variable-speed drive packages sold to heavy industries
- Leverage and develop experience in project management, logistics, site planning and management, startup and commissioning, and warranty execution
- Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety guidelines
- Maintain commercial and technical accountability for projects from equipment delivery through the warranty period
- Coordinate project review meetings, startup schedules, site logistics and readiness, commissioning preparations, capability assessments, resource planning, and commissioning proposals
- Manage internal and third-party field service team performance
- Establish commissioning teams according to project scope
- Coordinate field service resources and provide customers with status updates
- Visit customer sites for assessments, planning meetings, and work-progress oversight
- Serve as an escalation path for warranty issues while protecting ABB’s interests and meeting customer obligations
- Report to the HUB Startup & Warranty Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of business experience in related areas, such as Field Service, Application Engineering, Project Engineering, or Project Management
- Field Service experience with medium voltage variable speed drives and motors
- Strong technical knowledge of medium voltage variable speed drives and applications
- Commercial astuteness
- Customer-facing experience
- Time management and ability to multitask
- Demonstrable relationship-building and written and verbal communication skills
- Results-oriented mindset

- Ability to work independently
