About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take ownership of the performance and reliability of ABB Medium Voltage (MV) drives and motors installed at the facility
- Diagnose complex technical challenges and deliver effective, timely solutions
- Act as the main point of contact between the customer and ABB
- Lead maintenance and troubleshooting of ABB equipment
- Plan and execute maintenance strategies, including outage planning and support
- Provide recommendations on spare parts, system improvements, and long-term reliability
- Coach others and strengthen customer relationships
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and all organizational levels, including senior management
- Deliver service reports and maintain communication across stakeholders
- Oversee and coordinate customer-ABB service requests
- Direct diagnosis and resolution of technical issues
- Ensure ABB systems operational stability and high system reliability and customer satisfaction
- Guide customer maintenance personnel in operating advanced medium voltage drive technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or technical engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization, from field technicians to senior management
- Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Previous site management experience preferred
- Experience with Medium Voltage drives and power electronics preferred
- Knowledge of motors, transformers, switchgear, and industrial communication protocols preferred
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation preferred
- Ability to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and around energized systems
