About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute service work according to work instructions and ABB quality and safety guidelines
- Deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work according to customer order and expectations
- Communicate service work timelines and expectations to ensure customer retention
- Work with customers on-site to identify opportunities to improve operations and eliminate pain points
- Perform field service tasks, identify technical issues, and conduct analysis through remote or on-site activity for certified service categories and products
- Prepare material lists and ensure materials, parts, and equipment are available and appropriate for service activities
- Act as trainer for field service associates and customers when needed
- Report to the Mgr Field Engineering 2
- Contribute to the Automation, Process Industries Division
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8 years of industry specific experience on ABB pulp and paper quality control products (or equivalent 3rd party vendor products)
- Associates Degree in field relating to instrumentation & control, electrical engineering technology, electronics, instrumentation or process control
- Candidates must be comfortable using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters or multi-meters safely
- Mechanical aptitude is preferred
- Candidates should be comfortable using basic hand tools
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
