About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget
- Maintain and improve the balance between ABB units and customers in the assigned area
- Collect and collate technical and cost information required to prepare proposals
- Support local Sales organizations and customers in determining technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions
- Prepare technical descriptions of applied products and technology to support the proposal process
- Provide technical advice and comments on enquiry specifications
- Provide technical support during bidding, technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations
- Formulate competitive bids, estimates, and quotations using suitable product mixes and technical and commercial considerations
- Ensure tenders are documented accurately, on time, and with appropriate detail
- Provide inputs for editing activities according to bid/estimate/quotation planning and quality procedures
- Identify potential risks in bids, quotations, estimates, and related contract agreements
- Participate in risk review processes in accordance with ABB policy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Electrical/Engineering related
- 2+ years of working experience in a related field
- Solid foundation of knowledge in medium and high voltage power systems
- Fluent in English, both written and oral
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Good teamwork spirit
- Self-motivation and good time management
- Ability to manage the tender timetable
- Strong ability to work under pressure
