About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as technical lead for engineering activities in HV system engineering assignments from 66kV to 400kV
- Ensure engineering disciplines are executed efficiently and cost-effectively according to contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies
- Perform basic and detailed engineering and provide optimized solutions for HV electrical systems in offshore wind farms, onshore power from shore, and BESS industrial projects
- Prepare key SLDs, protection single-line diagrams, equipment arrangement plans, and sections
- Perform equipment sizing, earthing, cable sizing, cable tray sizing, lighting, and lightning calculations
- Develop layouts for equipment arrangement, cabling, earthing, lighting, and lightning protection
- Prepare equipment datasheets, specifications, technical bid evaluations, and review and approve manufacturer documents for HV equipment
- Prepare equipment BOMs, cable schedules, interconnection diagrams, and termination schedules
- Coordinate interface engineering with substation automation and SCADA systems
- Coordinate with civil, structural, supply chain, commercial, project management, manufacturing, testing, and site execution teams
- Estimate engineering, testing, and commissioning effort
- Prepare engineering schedules aligned with document deliverables and project schedules
- Travel to customer and vendor locations to support engineering, manufacturing, and FAT activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience for Project Engineering
- Worked as Project Engineer in at least 4 to 6 large size projects in HV system
- Onshore/Offshore substation experience preferred
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of site execution experience preferred
- Pre-Bid Engineering, Bid & Proposal exposure is an added advantage
- Proficiency in design tools for relay selections, equipment sizing, earthing, and lighting calculations
- Basic knowledge of power system study and network modelling preferred
- Basic knowledge of communication architecture, IEC 61850, and relay selections (ABB/Hitachi/GE/SEL) preferred
- Understanding of international standards and statutory requirements including IEEE/IEC/ANSI
