About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Grow sales with healthcare professionals assigned to the territory
  • Develop customer relationships and serve as an ambassador for Abbott’s FreeStyle products
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas and objectives for the FreeStyle Libre portfolio
  • Prospect for new business and close new sales in the expanded marketplace
  • Collaborate with channel partners in HCP, Managed Care, Retail and Point of Care organizations
  • Build relationships with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, CDEs and other healthcare constituents
  • Maintain current knowledge of internal and competitive products
  • Develop proficiency in the company sales model to drive product adoption and utilization
  • Develop business plans based on market trends and goals
  • Deliver sales results in primary care and endocrinology markets
  • Position products and services and tailor sales approaches to customer needs
  • Handle objections and address customer perspectives
  • Develop and implement territory, account and call plans
  • Track and report progress against plans
  • Complete administrative tasks and document activities in the call reporting system
  • Maintain accountability for product samples
  • Work within compliance and quality guidelines and maintain quality-system effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years previous sales experience with a successful sales track record
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High energy, integrity and ambition to succeed
  • Sales experience in the healthcare industry preferred
  • B2B sales experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel 15% of the time
  • Ability to drive a personal auto or company car or truck
  • Ability to perform continuous sitting for prolonged periods
  • Keyboard use for at least 50% of the workday
