About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, perform preventive maintenance on, and repair assigned diagnostic instruments
  • Diagnose technical problems across multiple complex instruments
  • Document resolutions accurately and close service calls within defined timelines
  • Manage customer issues from resolution to escalation and build customer relationships
  • Plan and prioritize service visits and maintain accurate inventory
  • Support on-call rotation, after-hours coverage, and travel for training or critical account support
  • Follow regulatory, quality system, and laboratory safety guidelines
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and mentor Field Service Representatives
  • Meet service sales, cost-of-service, and KPI targets
  • Use remote support tools to maximize instrument uptime

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2–5 years of experience in Engineering or Laboratory Technology
  • Ability to travel 50% within the assigned territory
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with laboratory instrumentation
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, VPN, and remote troubleshooting tools
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain certifications through ongoing training and development
