About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide support to the logistics team and resolve ad-hoc logistics problems
Collect, analyze, interpret, and report transportation data and logistics metrics
Monitor daily carrier reports to ensure inbound and outbound shipments meet expected delivery dates
Analyze and implement key performance metrics for logistics partners
Provide data analysis updates and reports to management for tactical and strategic initiatives
Investigate, research, and resolve exceptions cross-functionally
Establish and implement corrective and preventative actions through continuous improvement initiatives
Lead significant projects on cross-functional teams
Build and maintain effective interdepartmental relationships and communication
Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; or Associate’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field and 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree; or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of experience working in logistics
Demonstrated understanding of UPS, FedEx, and DHL systems for domestic and international shipments
Demonstrated understanding of less than load (LTL) and full truckload (FTL) carriers
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as needed
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day
Ability to travel 10% of working time, including possible overnight/weekend travel
Ability and means to travel between Madison locations
