About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote, manage, and grow Abbott Nutritional products in hospital settings
- Develop and support territory sales goals in major hospital systems for Similac, Neosure, and Human Milk Fortifier HPCL
- Conduct hospital negotiations and contracting
- Work with hospital supply chain
- Deliver product, clinical study, protocol, and guideline information in a selling environment
- Support new product launches
- Navigate hospital departments including NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, and Nursing units
- Host evening educational opportunities for healthcare professionals 1–2 nights per quarter
- Manage territory budgets and administrative activities
- Serve customers including NICU, Pharmacy, Purchasing, PICU, Nurseries, Neonatologists, Dietitians, Nutrition, RNs, and Supply Chain
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- Ideal candidate is a NICU Registered Dietitian or NICU Registered Nurse
- Strong clinical/medical sales experience in a hospital setting
- Experience working with Supply Chain and Healthcare Professionals
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs
- Ability to work independently with initiative, independence, and autonomy
- Effective administrative and time-management skills
- Ability to manage budgets
- Comprehensive knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols, and guidelines
- Ability to work effectively with Dietitians, Physicians, and Nurses
- Local candidates only; based out of Richmond, VA
- Ability to travel up to 2 hours from Richmond and 5–10% overnight travel for regional/national meetings and trainings
