About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Seek new sales opportunities through cold calling and lead generation
  • Set meetings with prospects to introduce products and services
  • Perform prospect and customer needs assessments
  • Prepare and send quotes and proposals
  • Coordinate and secure contracts and agreements between new clients and the contracts team
  • Support new account implementation activities within sales and operations
  • Monitor trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend products and services
  • Attend trade shows and in-person customer visits
  • Service government, criminal justice, and treatment-market agencies in the Toxicology Business Unit
  • Cover the Southwestern US region as a US remote field-based account manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree
  • 7+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven sales track record with a hunter mindset and self-motivation
  • Experience managing and negotiating customer contracts in a senior sales or account management role
  • Experience with MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Salesforce
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel in a multi-state territory with overnight travel
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Government sales experience preferred
  • Drug testing industry knowledge preferred
  • Criminal justice or treatment market knowledge preferred
  • Lab screen and confirmation sales experience is a plus
