About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct CRM sales of Abbott products and/or services across the specified region
  • Identify and evaluate market opportunities and sales potential to establish and achieve sales and clinical objectives
  • Lead and coach territory managers and clinical specialists
  • Complete authorization training to support CRM procedures and provide competent clinical coaching
  • Assist with contract negotiation, customer engagement, performance management, and clinical competency development
  • Coach teams to support CRM procedures, achieve safe outcomes, and drive continuing education
  • Set regional sales strategy and support the regional sales plan
  • Develop a safe learning environment and positive team culture
  • Conduct weekly team calls, discovery workshops, regional meetings, and individual discussions
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop direct reports
  • Set goals, create development plans, and provide annual performance reviews
  • Drive customer and account engagement planning
  • Prepare regional sales forecasts, market potential assessments, and sales expense estimates
  • Drive sales accountability and forecasting accuracy
  • Travel with the team to visit customers and advance clinical competencies and sales
  • Build cross-functional partnerships with marketing, training, enterprise accounts, and clinical trial teams
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with case support, proctor planning, and conflict resolution
  • Oversee the annual regional budget and approve direct-report expense reports
  • Complete vendor credentialing for hospital access as required
  • Remain current on regulatory requirements, company products, markets, objectives, and industry trends
  • Resolve complex problems and develop original solutions with significant operational or budget impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent
  • 8+ years of progressively more responsible work experience in Tachycardia/Bradycardia product areas or a related discipline
  • Direct experience in CRM product sales preferred
  • Proven and documented sales and clinical performance in the cardiology/cardiovascular field
  • Ability to lead workstreams and initiatives using critical thinking skills
  • Ability to direct and monitor direct reports’ clinical and sales objectives, quality, outcomes, and performance measures
  • Ability to work in a quality system environment and comply with governmental regulations
  • Solutions-oriented, fact-based problem solving
  • Verification of satisfaction of vendor credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Prior commercial and clinical trial experience in cardiology/cardiovascular preferred
  • Documented successful leadership experience of sales and clinical teams preferred
  • Abbott cardiovascular experience strongly preferred
  • Must live in the geography of the region
  • Ability to travel in excess of 50% depending on staffing and regional demands
