About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer customer rebate and fee programs throughout the contract lifecycle
Perform complex calculations, obtain approvals, and ensure timely posting and delivery of customer payments
Process rebates and fees while coordinating with cross-functional groups to ensure accurate, on-time payments
Follow audit guidelines for contract approval and creation
Build mathematical models and tools to determine payout amounts and track contract performance
Provide written and verbal updates to customers, Sales, Contract Operations Management, Accounting, Finance, Commercial Legal, and other cross-functional groups
Manage communication and awareness of contractual obligations with internal and external customers
Serve as subject matter expert and primary contact for hospitals, hospital systems, and group purchasing organizations in the assigned geography
Solve complex problems and make recommendations based on multiple information sources
Provide reports and analysis to the department and senior management
Follow approved processes and procedures and alert management when deviations are needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in business, financial, or strategic pricing and contracting
Knowledge of mathematical modeling
Ability to quickly identify relevant details while working with large data sets
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deal with unresolved issues
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain rapport with all levels of personnel within Abbott Medical Device organization
Customer-service-oriented skills supporting field sales, Finance, and Accounting teams
Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to anticipate and resolve issues
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
Experience using Business Objects or similar reporting systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and manage competing priorities
Ability to assess the reasonableness and relevance of contract documentation and system data
Ability to make difficult and unpopular decisions
Ability to understand issue implications and interrelationships for clients and other areas
