About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform business systems design and configuration, upgrades, and improvements for assigned technology platforms
- Serve as primary support contact for application end-users and identify and resolve application issues
- Analyze impacts of desired changes, build and test system changes, and identify platform performance improvements
- Mentor junior analysts, support questions, and delegate activities to other analysts
- Lead estimation of enhancement and support requests
- Guide workflow design, configure and test system changes, and analyze technical issues
- Liaise with business systems stakeholders and software vendor implementation staff
- Identify opportunities to improve business workflows through technology
- Participate in training and work with end users
- Troubleshoot problems and questions
- Provide end-user support for tracked issues
- Review project and issue status with project leadership
- Assign or delegate configuration and other activities to Application Analysts or Managed Services team members
- Act as delegate for Applications Manager during incident or problem resolution
- Lead internal process design and documentation for continuous IT improvement
- Work within cross-functional teams and communicate with project leadership, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders
- Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
- Uphold company mission and values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions in an application analyst or project delivery role
- Subject Matter Expert in one or more of: patient identification workflows in the healthcare setting, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry
- Possession of or ability to obtain relevant Epic software application(s) certification within 8 weeks of hire
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties with or without accommodation
- Applicable certifications preferred, especially Epic Prelude, Epic Identity, and Epic Eligibility (RTE)
- Professional working knowledge in Health Care or Biotechnology preferred
- Professional working knowledge with agile delivery methodologies preferred
- Ability to work normal business hours and on-call, with potential for nights and weekends
- Ability to travel approximately 5% of working time
- Ability to operate telephone system, computer keyboard, and printer
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day
- Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day
- Ability to comply with applicable personal protective equipment requirements
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and complex matrix environment
- Ability to learn new software applications and adapt to change
