About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead estimation of enhancement or support requests
  • Guide workflow design, configure and test system changes, and analyze technical issues
  • Liaise with business systems stakeholders and software vendor implementation staff
  • Identify opportunities to improve business workflows through technology
  • Participate in training and work with end users
  • Troubleshoot problems and questions
  • Provide end-user support for issues entered into tracking systems
  • Review project and issue status with project leadership
  • Assign or delegate configuration and other activities to Application Analysts or Managed Services team members
  • Act as delegate for the Applications Manager for incident or problem resolution
  • Mentor peers and junior analysts and provide leadership in solving problems
  • Lead internal process design and documentation for continuous improvement
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
  • Work within cross-functional teams and communicate with project leadership, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders
  • Work normal business hours and on-call shifts, including potential nights and weekends
  • Travel approximately 5% of working time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions, either in an application analyst or project delivery role
  • Subject Matter Expert in one or more of: patient identification workflows in the healthcare setting, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry
  • Possession of or ability to obtain relevant Epic software application(s) certification within 8 weeks of hire
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Applicable Epic certifications preferred, especially Epic Cheers, MyChart, and Care Everywhere
  • Experience configuring business systems software in a life sciences, health care, or related industry preferred
  • Professional working knowledge in Health Care or Biotechnology preferred
  • Professional working knowledge with agile delivery methodologies preferred
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation
  • Ability to work normal business hours and on-call, with potential for nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel approximately 5% of working time
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day
  • Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day
  • Ability to comply with applicable personal protective equipment requirements
