About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Exact’s EHR HL7 interfaces, including internal EHR integrations and external healthcare-partner order and result interfaces
  • Coordinate technical design, analysis, validation, and issue triage for assigned interfaces
  • Collaborate with interface project managers, application teams, technical teams, subject matter experts, and third-party experts
  • Mentor EHR Integration Analysts and create interface-engine and integration best practices
  • Represent the EHR integration team on project teams
  • Develop new interfaces in the Corepoint interface engine
  • Configure interfaces within the Epic EHR system
  • Manage the full interface application development lifecycle from analysis and design through implementation, go-live, and support
  • Drive interface projects and coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines
  • Develop, write, and execute test plans covering product, quality, regulatory, and design requirements
  • Monitor live interface health and provide proactive support and permanent issue solutions
  • Understand data structures and document technical specifications
  • Analyze and manipulate external data for HL7 conversion and filing into target systems
  • Support and comply with company Quality Management System policies and procedures
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science, math, information systems, statistics, or related field
  • 5+ years of IT experience supporting system integrations
  • 3+ years of Interface Engine Development
  • Epic Bridges Certification
  • Ability to develop in Corepoint or another interface engine
  • Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and clearly communicate solutions
  • Ability to understand organizational requirements and their impact on technical solutions
  • Ability to work in a complex multi-communication-channel environment
  • Skill at tracking tasks, defining next steps, identifying owners, and holding people accountable
  • Ability to coordinate activities involving vendors, subject matter experts, interface engine developers, and end users
  • Ability to navigate HL7, XML, and HTML
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day
  • Ability to travel approximately 5% of working time
