Design, develop, enhance, and maintain MES applications for manufacturing, testing, eDHR, serialization, genealogy, and traceability
Design, configure, and support Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre applications and related MES technologies
Develop and maintain integrations between MES platforms and SAP ERP, SAP MII, LIMS, PLM, labeling, quality management, learning management, and other manufacturing applications
Design, develop, document, and support RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and event-driven integrations
Develop and maintain interfaces between MES systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, manufacturing equipment, vision systems, printers, and automation platforms
Design, develop, and support Java, C#, and web-based applications for manufacturing operations and plant floors
Create and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database solutions, including data models, stored procedures, views, functions, performance tuning, and reporting
Support MES application deployment and operation in on-premises and cloud environments, including Azure
Collaborate with manufacturing, automation, quality, business analysis, validation, and architecture teams
Develop technical specifications, solution architecture documents, integration designs, and software design documentation
Troubleshoot application, database, infrastructure, and integration issues
Conduct technical investigations and root cause analysis for production incidents and system issues
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
Ensure compliance with SDLC, CSV, FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, cybersecurity, and enterprise standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience will also be considered
10+ years of overall Information Technology experience
2–5 years of experience developing and supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Strong experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk ProductionCentre (FTPC) or equivalent MES platforms
Experience with Java, C#, .NET, Spring Framework, or similar enterprise technologies
Experience designing and implementing REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and enterprise integrations
Experience integrating MES systems with SAP and other enterprise applications
Strong knowledge of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases
Experience with manufacturing equipment integration, PLC communications, OPC technologies, and industrial automation systems
Experience implementing software within validated and regulated environments
Understanding of manufacturing processes, electronic batch records, traceability, genealogy, and serialization
Experience troubleshooting complex production issues across applications, databases, infrastructure, and integrations
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure software development practices
Preferred: source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated deployments, SQL performance tuning, database design, data integration solutions, manufacturing and supply chain business processes, shop floor/equipment integration, and PLC programming
