Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a cross-functional internal consultant across several business units
Complete quantitative and qualitative analyses to inform company strategy and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
Support Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Logistics, and other enabling functions
Analyze company data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
Evaluate the economic and operational impact of new products and strategies
Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis
Support business units and functions in strategic decision-making
Build and maintain analyses, models, and dashboards for process optimization, forecasting, capacity planning, economic optimization, and performance management
Support fact-based measurement of operational effectiveness and initiative economics, including ROI
Compile and communicate findings to leadership and stakeholders verbally, visually, and in writing
Liaise cross-functionally with finance, HR, business development, sales, marketing, IT, and R&D
Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of relevant business experience
3+ years of direct business analytics experience
Experience with computer programming in R, SAS, Python, SQL, or another language
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science, or related field, or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
Proficient in a visualization tool, preferably Tableau
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties with or without accommodation
Experience with SAP
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred: experience with laboratory, healthcare, or medical device industries
Preferred: working understanding of database design and data modeling
Preferred: experience with Lean Six Sigma and statistical process control
Preferred: working understanding of statistical methods for data analysis
Preferred: experience with simulation software such as Simul8, Arena, Simio, or AnyLogic
Ability to travel 10% of working time, potentially including overnight/weekend travel
Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or computer screen and perform typing for approximately 100% of a typical working day
