About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent Abbott and the Core Laboratory Diagnostics brand to existing customers across Western Michigan and the UP
  • Develop customer solutions that drive revenue and achieve growth goals
  • Act as the primary account management contact
  • Build customer promoters and achieve targeted retention rates
  • Manage and develop accounts according to strategic account plans
  • Perform assay integrations and support technical laboratory needs
  • Improve and maintain customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention
  • Resolve customer issues and support operational business reviews with key laboratory contacts
  • Coordinate order, delivery, and billing processes
  • Assess customer operations and identify operational/service improvement opportunities
  • Work with Enterprise Account Managers to renew business early or extend contracts
  • Develop and execute existing account plans to drive value expansion
  • Elevate customer challenges in partnership with the service organization
  • Support new-account implementation, including project ordering, instrument installation, and assay validation
  • Adhere to Abbott guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Interact with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Technical Service, and Finance
  • Influence customer purchase decisions and make decisions on reagent utilization and troubleshooting product replacement
  • Contribute to CAPA effectiveness through accurate complaint documentation and resolution actions
  • Present information completely and accurately to internal and external customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience with instrumentation utilized in a laboratory environment, or directly in a laboratory environment, field service, or technical call center for Diagnostics products
  • Experience providing technical product application and/or hardware support
  • Experience interfacing with customers
  • Strong people engagement and communication skills
  • Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Ability to travel up to 80% in assigned territory and other domestic business locations
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Biomedical, Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, Medical Technology, or Commercial
  • Preferred: 3+ years of relevant healthcare/sales experience
