About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent Abbott and the Core Laboratory Diagnostics brand to existing customers in Western Michigan and the UP
  • Develop solutions that drive revenue and achieve growth goals
  • Serve as the primary account management contact
  • Improve economic profitability, customer loyalty, and business retention through contract renewal and new-solution sales
  • Build customer promoters and achieve targeted retention rates
  • Manage accounts according to strategic account plans
  • Perform assay integrations and support laboratory technical needs
  • Resolve customer issues and support operational business reviews
  • Coordinate order, delivery, and billing processes
  • Assess customer operations and identify service-improvement opportunities
  • Work with Enterprise Account Managers to renew or extend contracts
  • Support implementation of new accounts, including project ordering, instrument installation, and assay validation
  • Document customer complaints and corrective actions in the CAPA system
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Technical Service, and Finance
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory and other domestic business locations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience with instrumentation utilized in a laboratory environment, directly in a laboratory environment, field service, or technical call center for Diagnostics products
  • Experience providing technical product application and/or hardware support
  • Experience interfacing with customers
  • Strong people engagement and communication skills
  • Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Ability to travel up to 80% in assigned territory and other domestic business locations
  • Valid Driver’s License
