About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote and sell ABBOTT products to healthcare professionals and organizations by visiting physicians, distributors, pharmacies, and other customers; providing product information and benefits; and meeting commercial targets
- Position product concepts within the diabetes care segment and keep distributors, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other professionals informed and up to date
- Maintain ongoing relationships and regular follow-up with customers in the assigned portfolio, fostering long-term business relationships and tracking each customer’s results
- Prospect for new customers by planning visits, defining outreach strategies, and offering ABBOTT products in the diabetes care segment
- Train pharmacists, pharmacy counter staff, nurses, and other professionals involved in selling or using the products
- Facilitate diabetes identification campaigns using ABBOTT products and participate in industry congresses, events, and campaigns
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education qualification
- Technical knowledge of diabetes
- Sales techniques
- Experience in the pharmaceutical market, with demand generation
- Availability to travel 25% of the time
