About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maximize business opportunities for approved Parkinson's Disease products
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, Advanced Practice Providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, managers, and support staff
- Increase product education, awareness of therapeutic gaps, business development, current business expansion, resource utilization, and sales performance
- Build and maintain compliant relationships with Parkinson's advocacy and support groups
- Deliver on-label technical and scientific presentations and sales calls using approved data and resources
- Understand and address customer needs and build account relationships benefiting patients and healthcare professionals
- Partner with AbbVie field and in-house teams to develop appropriate approaches and tactics
- Serve as lead US Commercial contact for targeted accounts in the assigned geography
- Create, implement, and communicate strategic and tactical account plans
- Monitor and report sales progress and communicate with stakeholders
- Attend and participate in neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events
- Represent AbbVie and assigned products at events to build relationships and provide compliant product education
- Channel key information and findings to internal stakeholders
- Develop territory and account business strategies, align resources, and adjust tactics as needed
- Remain current on clinical, market, and payer developments related to Parkinson's Disease
- Complete required training and comply with company policies and OEC/Legal procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- 3+ years of Health Science Field or Sales experience, including a minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical sales
- In lieu of degree: 8+ years of Health Science Sales experience, including a minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical sales
- Ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas
- Excellent organizational/project management and demonstrated leadership skills
- Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain credentials
- May require background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses
- Ability to drive a personal auto or company vehicle
