About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maximize business opportunities for AbbVie’s approved Parkinson’s Disease products
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, Advanced Practice Providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, managers, and support staff
- Educate customers on product benefits, risks, and therapeutic gaps using approved data and resources
- Develop new business, expand current business, and maximize resource utilization to achieve sales plans
- Build and maintain compliant relationships with Parkinson’s advocacy and support groups
- Deliver on-label technical and scientific presentations and sales calls
- Understand and address customer needs across assigned accounts
- Partner with AbbVie field and in-house teams to design and adapt approaches and tactics
- Serve as lead US Commercial contact for targeted accounts in the assigned geography
- Create, implement, and communicate strategic and tactical account plans
- Monitor and report sales progress
- Communicate routinely with internal and external stakeholders
- Attend neurology meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events, including occasional evenings or weekends
- Represent AbbVie and assigned products at events to build relationships and increase product awareness
- Share key information and findings with internal stakeholders
- Develop territory business strategies, align resources, and adjust tactics as needed
- Remain current on clinical, market, and payer developments related to Parkinson’s Disease
- Complete required AbbVie training and follow company, OEC, and Legal policies
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements for entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- 3+ years of Health Science Field or Sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical sales
- In lieu of degree: 8+ years of Health Science Sales experience, with a minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical sales
- Ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain credentials
- May require background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses
- Ability to drive a personal auto or company car or truck, or operate powered material-handling equipment
