About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maximize business opportunities for approved on-market Parkinson’s disease products
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, advanced practice providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, managers, and support staff
- Increase education about product benefits and risks and awareness of therapeutic gaps, consistent with approved labels
- Develop new business, expand current business, maximize resource utilization, and increase sales to achieve the assigned product portfolio sales plan
- Build and maintain compliant relationships with Parkinson’s advocacy groups, support groups, and other patient-support organizations
- Deliver on-label technical and scientific presentations and sales calls using approved data and resources
- Understand and address customer needs
- Partner with AbbVie field and in-house teams to identify, design, or adapt approaches and tactics
- Serve as lead US Commercial contact with targeted accounts in the assigned geography
- Create, implement, and communicate strategic and tactical plans for targeted accounts
- Monitor and report sales progress and provide routine communications to stakeholders
- Attend and participate in neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events, including some evenings or weekends
- Represent AbbVie and assigned products at events to build relationships and provide product education
- Channel key information, developments, and findings to internal stakeholders
- Create and develop business strategies and territory account plans, align resources, and adjust tactics as needed
- Remain current on clinical, market, and payer developments related to Parkinson’s disease
- Complete required AbbVie training and comply with company policies and OEC/Legal procedures
- Represent AbbVie as a partner of choice in the Parkinson’s and Neuroscience space with healthcare professionals and patient organizations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- 3+ years of Health Science Field or Sales experience, including a minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical sales
- In lieu of degree: 8+ years of Health Science Sales experience, including a minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical sales
- Ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments
- Must satisfy applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements
- Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain HCIR credentials
- May require background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses
- Ability to drive a personal auto or company car or truck, or operate powered material-handling equipment
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time
