About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maximize business opportunities with approved on-market Parkinson’s disease products
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, advanced practice providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, managers, support staff, advocacy groups, and patient support groups
  • Increase education and awareness of product benefits, risks, and therapeutic gaps in accordance with approved labels
  • Develop new business, expand existing business, maximize resource utilization, and increase sales to achieve the assigned product portfolio sales plan
  • Deliver compliant, on-label technical and scientific presentations and sales calls
  • Understand and address customer needs and build account relationships that benefit patients and healthcare professionals
  • Partner with AbbVie field and in-house teams to identify, design, or adapt approaches and tactics
  • Serve as lead US Commercial contact for targeted accounts in the assigned geography
  • Create, implement, and communicate strategic and tactical plans for targeted accounts
  • Monitor and report sales progress and provide routine stakeholder communications
  • Attend and participate in neurology society meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events, including some evenings and weekends
  • Represent AbbVie and assigned products at events to build relationships and provide product education
  • Channel key information, developments, and findings to internal stakeholders
  • Develop business strategies and territory account plans, align resources, and adjust tactics as needed
  • Remain current on clinical, market, payer, and Parkinson’s disease developments
  • Complete required training and comply with company policies and OEC/Legal procedures
  • Represent AbbVie as a partner of choice in the Parkinson’s and Neuroscience space

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • 3+ years of Health Science Field or Sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical sales
  • In lieu of degree: 8+ years of Health Science Sales experience, with a minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical sales
  • Ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas
  • Excellent organizational/project management and leadership skills
  • Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments
  • Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain credentials
  • May require background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses
  • Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
