About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maximize business opportunities for approved on-market Parkinson’s disease drug-device combination products
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Movement Disorder Specialists, Neurologists, advanced practice providers, healthcare professionals, nurses, executives, managers, and support staff
  • Increase education about product benefits and risks, awareness of therapeutic gaps, business development, resource utilization, and sales
  • Build compliant relationships with Parkinson’s advocacy and support groups
  • Deliver on-label technical and scientific presentations and sales calls using approved data and resources
  • Understand and address customer needs and build account relationships benefiting patients and healthcare professionals
  • Partner with AbbVie in-field and in-house teams to identify, design, and adapt approaches and tactics
  • Serve as lead US Commercial contact for targeted accounts in the assigned geography
  • Create, implement, and communicate strategic and tactical plans for targeted accounts
  • Monitor and report sales progress and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend and participate in neurology meetings, conferences, patient programs, support groups, and advocacy events, including some evenings and weekends
  • Represent AbbVie and assigned products at events while ensuring compliant, on-label product discussions
  • Create and develop territory business strategies and account plans, align resources, and adjust tactics as needed
  • Remain current on clinical, market, payer, and Parkinson’s disease developments
  • Complete AbbVie training and maintain company, OEC, and Legal compliance
  • Represent AbbVie as a partner of choice in Parkinson’s and Neuroscience with healthcare professionals and patient organizations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • 3+ years of Health Science Field or Sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years in pharmaceutical sales
  • In lieu of degree: 8+ years of Health Science Sales experience, with a minimum of 4 years in pharmaceutical sales
  • Ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas
  • Excellent organizational/project management and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proven record of managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
  • Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain them
  • Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material handling equipment
  • Ability to complete required training and comply with company policies and OEC/Legal procedures
