About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote products to meet or exceed sales goals in community/private practices, hospitals, and health systems
- Develop and maintain relationships with neurology, pain medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, pharmacy, urology, urogynecology, obstetrics and gynecology, female pelvic medicine, ambulatory surgical centers, and reconstructive surgery accounts
- Comply with company policies, reporting requirements, requests, and promotional compliance standards
- Manage AbbVie field assets effectively
- Identify customer needs related to training, clinical matters, operations, and reimbursement
- Address customer needs using appropriate AbbVie resources
- Deliver anatomical and procedural information and training, including anatomical terminology, injection paradigms, postures, and injection insights
- Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and hospital personnel
- Collaborate with other Account Specialists to promote products for approved indications
- Execute individual, department, and group resident/fellow trainings within hospital and health system accounts
- Use AbbVie sales and data resources to improve productivity and product growth
- Implement the U.S. Marketing Plan
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required
- If substituting experience for a bachelor’s degree: at least five years of technical experience, including three or more years within sales preferred, plus a high school diploma/GED required
- Ability to manage complex sales and quickly learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information
- Ability to communicate, present, and train a variety of audiences
- Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products preferred, in health systems and private practice
- Ability to lift/pull 25–100 lb. training models
- Ability to meet hospital credentialing and vaccination requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to travel adequately to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings
- Documented history of strong sales performance preferred, preferably in a clinical, technical, or consultative sales role with multiple decision makers
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain credentials
- May require background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses
