About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Promote products to community/private practices, hospitals, and health systems to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customer accounts and departments across relevant specialties
  • Identify customer training, clinical, operational, and reimbursement needs and address them with appropriate AbbVie resources
  • Deliver anatomical and procedural information and training, including injection paradigms, postures, and anatomical insights
  • Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and hospital personnel
  • Collaborate with other Account Specialists to promote products for approved indications
  • Execute individual, department, or group resident/fellow trainings within hospital and health-system accounts
  • Use AbbVie sales and data resources to improve productivity and product growth while implementing the U.S. Marketing Plan
  • Comply with company policies, reporting requests, promotional compliance requirements, and field-asset management procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • High school diploma/GED required when qualifying through equivalent industry experience
  • At least five years of technical experience and three or more years of sales experience preferred when substituting experience for a bachelor's degree
  • Ability to manage a complex sell and quickly learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information
  • Ability to communicate, present, and train varied audiences
  • Ability to lift/pull 25–100 lb. training models
  • Ability to meet hospital credentialing and vaccination requirements
  • Ability to travel adequately to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings
  • Documented strong sales performance, preferably in clinical, technical, or consultative sales with multiple decision makers
  • Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials, potentially including background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and specific licenses
