About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the strategic leader of the Wilmington, Delaware territory for the Multiple Myeloma brand
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan aligned with brand strategy and local customer needs
- Build trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders
- Deliver compliant, customer-focused engagements using deep scientific and clinical expertise
- Partner with cross-functional colleagues to deliver coordinated customer experiences
- Evaluate territory performance using data, customer insights, and business analytics to optimize execution
- Maintain integrity, compliance, and professionalism in customer interactions
- Complete required AbbVie training and follow company policies and OEC/Legal procedures
- Continuously develop clinical, business, and leadership capabilities
- Report to the Senior District Manager
- Travel approximately 25% of the time
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years sales experience in pharma/biotech
- Oncology/hematology experience required; Multiple Myeloma experience preferred
- Competitive selling skills
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Persistence and grit with a track record of success in challenging environments
- Personal auto, company car, or truck
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
- Regular business travel by air or car
- Ability to meet healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, including possible background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Account Management experience preferred
- Specialty Pharmacy experience preferred
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- People management or leadership experience preferred
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
